Prickly pear seed oil has been traditionally used to treat both burns and inflammation and so makes an excellent oil for anyone with sensitive skin. We skipped the essential oils to create a neutral smelling facial oil using a combination of oils that are anti-inflammatory, calming and yet full of rich polyphenols for a healthy glow.

Pure has no essential oils and therefore doesn’t have a distinctive smell. The main ingredient, prickly pear seed oil has a very neutral smell. It has a mellower and fainter smell than a very mild olive oil.
Pure contains no essential oils. Our other two facial oils, Lit! and Stellar contain a small amount of essential oils which give each product a distinctive smell. Pure is made up of all the same calming and nourishing seed oils but with none of the essential oils. It does not have a strong smell and is great for anyone who has ultra-sensitive skin or prefers a product with no aroma.
This makes a perfect oil for both morning and evening. In the morning this can take the place of a moisturiser and in the evening, the nourishing plant oils make a great night serum.

Therefore it’s calming and moisturising for skin. The other ingredients in this oil are all calming seed oils so this is a good choice for people with sensitive skin.
A general rule of thumb is start with the lightest product you have and end with the heaviest, always leaving your SPF for last. Therefore apply any toners or water-based products first (such as hyaluronic acid) and then use the facial oil. If you have a water-based moisturiser you may find the facial oil is not required. However, if you want to keep using a moisturiser and the oil, then apply the moisturiser and then the oil.
